Eileen Muza

(They/Them)

Eileen is a visual artist and sole year-round resident of Cisco, Utah. They acquired their land in Cisco in 2015 and began the arduous process of refurbishing and rebuilding various structures that had been long-abandoned on the property.

While their work in Cisco is inherently imbued with their own style, Eileen also takes great care to preserve the heritage and unique character of the original town. As a firm believer in repurposing, the vast majority of Eileen’s restoration and reimagining of Cisco has been done with materials that have been left behind in the town.

Over the last few years, they have created a distinctive and inclusive environment for artists to experience complete creative freedom under the big desert sky.

Margaret Muza

(She/Hers)

Margaret is a wetplate photographer based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In spring of 2018 she spent a month and a half working in Cisco, taking tintypes and developing them in an old shack turned into a darkroom. The experience made her passionate about helping create a permanent place for artists in the ghost town.

Along with sisters Eileen and Renée, she helped organize and bring the residency to life between 2018 - 2019.

Tim McNulty

(He/Him)

Tim McNulty is a musician, composer, sound designer and DJ — he’s based in Chicago where he first met Eileen.

In addition to performing and recording around the city, he’s worked as a composer and sound designer for many theater companies in Chicago, including Underscore Theatre, Interrobang Theatre Project and Silk Road Rising.

Along with sound design and musical projects, Tim freelances as an audio editor/mixer for podcasts.

Natasha Woods

(She/Hers)

Natasha Woods was born in Iowa, and currently lives in Columbus, Ohio where she is in pursuit of her MFA at The Ohio State University. At the forefront of Woods' films lies an interest in the material and sensory qualities that moving image production makes possible. In her work, Woods aims to reclaim space on the screen by investigating microhistories and challenging conventions of storytelling.

Her work navigates the tension between the desire for human tenderness and the hopeful expectations of a better world. To underscore these possibilities, she explores themes that build upon landscapes, personal/familial ephemera, and found footage. Through the manipulation of appropriated artifacts and performance, Woods considers larger ideas concerned with nostalgia, trauma, and memory. To this end, she attempts to reposition canonical histories and traditions through a feminist lens, posing questions that grapple with how the subject senses comfort and belonging.

Shari Zollinger

(Board Member 2020 - 2021)

Shari Zollinger is a native of Utah currently living in Moab, an approximately 45-minute drive down highway 128 from Cisco. Shari’s array of vested interests generally spring from her time traveling. After graduating from Utah State University with a degree in History and Chinese language, she spent almost the entire decade of her twenties living in Asia and learning to speak Chinese.

Since then she’s turned her attention to writing and bookselling.  Shari is a published poet and has worked for years in the trenches of independent bookstores, currently slinging books in the wild west out post of Back of Beyond Books in Moab.
