Apply to be a Contributing Artist

We accept rolling inquiries to be a Contributing Artist here at Cisco.

This is a unique opportunity to not only experience the freedom and isolation of the environment in Cisco, but to contribute something to the community and family that revolves around it.

Contributing Artist visits are separate from the Home of The Brave residency program, and are generally scheduled in the off-season of the primary residency. Housing is provided, but there is no stipend.

Nickalas Goettling

Nick grew up in the forests of Washington State, where he earned his Bachelors of Fine Arts from The Evergreen State College with an emphasis on narrative drawing and painting. His art practice led him to Chicago, where he helped found Platform Studios in 2011. He has created artwork for public agencies and private clients throughout the country, including the Washington State Arts Commission, The Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago, The Chicago Parks District, Northeastern Illinois University, Clif Bar, Lagunitas, and others. He has worked on many projects in Cisco the biggest one being the 2 sided bus mural. He has also helped build multiple structures in Cisco including the residency space. Jeremy Collins

Jeremy Painted a mural on our studio space floor in less than 2 hours with incredible skill and precision. Known for his complex, cerebral and whimsical drawings and maps featured in his books, films and commercial work. From the cover of National Geographic to , he is a driving force within and without of the Outdoor Industry who awarded him “Most Inspirational Individual”.

As an activist, Jeremy has donated his time, voice and work to causes he believes in for many years. He has hand delivered art to the Senate floor in Utah to fight for protection of Bears Ears National Monument, has travelled by river in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge with the Sierra Club to tell stories for it’s protection and shares his powerful street and activism art around the US. Internationally, he has delivered crucial supplies to the far reaches of Nepal after the 2015 earthquake while creating murals on rebuilt schools along the way. He has delivered Solar Power to remote villages in Venezuela, and journeyed down the Amazon in Brazil to assist in telling a story of survival of some of the worlds most forgotten tribal people. His work supports numerous environmental programs throughout the US, and annually that provides activism initiatives to inspire us all to do better.
